Decorating for holidays, any and all holidays, is my jam. From September - March I'm swapping out fall/back-to-school decor for Halloween, Halloween for Thanksgiving to Christmas to Valentine's Day to St. Patrick's Day. By the time the spring rolls around, I"m ready to go back to a non-decorated home for the spring and summer months. Clean, crisp, and uncluttered. However, that's not to say that I don't want to spruce things up and bring some fresh and clean decor into our home for those several months.

I usually have a few things in mind that I want to replace like grubby wineglasses or worn out wood salad tongs. It's so nice to refresh a space with new pieces of artwork, a newly placed vase and throw pillows. Even changing up window curtains and new towels makes a space feel crisp and new. Starting in April, I do some serious deep cleaning. I purge anything I haven't used in over a year - throwing out old half-used bottles of lotion and NyQuil, going through old make-up and cleaning out the junk drawer. When all the spaces, ins and outs, and nooks and crannies are tidied, cleaned and organized, it leaves me space to bring in some fresh spring home decor changes.
I don't typically buy into trends - especially as it pertains to home decor. Trends come and go and I truly believe that you should decorate with whatever brings you joy, makes you feel comfortable and safe, and sparks happiness. However, a few home decor trends that I've noticed for 2025 are:
Jewel Tones and Color Saturated Rooms
Statement Lighting
Art Deco, Vintage and Retro Vibes
Sustainable Eco-Conscious Living
Nancy Meyers Aesthetic (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!)
Maximalism
Patterns, Patterns, Patterns
While that's all well and good, you need to pick and choose what works best for YOU. You may hate art deco and that's okay! Perhaps you're a more boho person or a minimalist who scrunches your nose at the fact that maximalism is in right now. Which is all to say - it's great to add little pops of new home decor every year (for me, in the spring) so you can change things up and find what you truly love. Here are a few of the things I'm coveting for new spring decor to welcome the warmer seasons.
